Overview:
The Basic Housekeeping and Laundry course provides trainees with a thorough introduction to the essential aspects of superyacht interior maintenance, guest care, and crew service. It offers junior stews a clear understanding of what is expected of them while performing housekeeping duties aboard superyachts, helping to build their confidence as they step into their roles.
The course covers a broad range of housekeeping and laundry-related topics, including:
- Standard operating procedures and effective planning
- General and detailed cleaning techniques
- Organizing and using cleaning caddies
- Housekeeping while guests are onboard
- Procedures for cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms
- Understanding materials, fabrics, and suitable products
- Laundry guidelines, labels, and proper handling
- Stain removal techniques
- Washing, drying, and ironing onboard
- Folding and other laundry practices

Prerequisites:
There are no prerequisites for taking this course as it is recommended for aspiring junior stews and interior crew with little to no experience in the superyacht industry specifically in yacht housekeeping.
