WSET Level 2 Award in Beer

Overview:

In order to study the WSET Level 2 Award in Beer, no prior knowledge is required. It is suitable both for beginners and for those who already have a professional or general interest in beer. It is suitable wherever a good level of beer knowledge is required to underpin job skills and competencies. 

Successful candidates will be able to understand how key ingredients and production processes influence the styles of beer; describe the styles of beer produced; and give basic guidance on appropriate selection and service, as well as understand the principles of beer tasting and evaluation. 

Prerequisites:

There are no entry requirements for this qualification. You must be of legal drinking age in the country where you are attending the course to participate in any alcohol tasting. 

Duration:

This qualification has a minimum requirement of 28 hours of study which includes 16 hours of guided learning with a WSET course provider, 11 hours of private study and a one-hour exam
