Description

Overview: The Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats course is a comprehensive course that integrates classroom theory sessions with hands-on practical boat operation. Designed to equip candidates with the necessary skills, it focuses on proficiently handling and assuming command of fast rescue boats for search and rescue missions, even in challenging weather and sea conditions.  Aligned with Regulation VI/2, paragraph 2, and Section A-VI/2, paragraphs 7 to 10 of the STCW Convention and Code 1978, as amended, this course ensures compliance with international standards.  Upon successful completion, participants will demonstrate competence in various crucial aspects, including preventing and managing capsized rescue boats, executing casualty recovery from the water, facilitating transfers to rescue helicopters, ships, or places of safety, and comprehending the construction, maintenance, repair, and outfitting of fast rescue boats.
