IMO 2020: Consistent Implementation of MARPOL Annex VI (I666E) – 2019 Edition
This publication details the revision to MARPOL Annex VI, known as ‘IMO 2020’. The revised regulations include a requirement that the sulphur content of fuel oil used by ships operating outside designated emission control areas shall not exceed 0.50% by mass. This revision came into force on 1 January 2020 and will significantly benefit human health and the environment.
