Description

This fully online course fulfils the STCW ISPS requirements for crew members aspiring to become Ship Security Officers (SSO) on superyachts. As an SSO, you’ll be responsible for executing security measures as per the Ship Security Plan (SSP) at sea and port, ensuring compliance with international security protocols.

 

Course Content:
  • Security Management: Learn to assess risks, threats, and vulnerabilities and understand the implementation and maintenance of the SSP.
  • Operational Security: Gain insights into security equipment and systems and their limitations. Enhance security awareness and vigilance among the crew.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Understand the requirements of STCW, IMO Model Course 3.19, and align with the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) standards.

 

Specialized Training: While this course is tailored for superyacht crew, we also provide customized training for SSOs on cargo ships, ferries, cruise ships, and more.

 

Certification: Upon completion, participants receive a certification approved by the UK DfT Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA), recognized internationally under the IMO Whitelist.
