Description
ISG – Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (STCW) is an essential maritime training course designed to help seafarers build a strong foundation in shipboard safety, emergency awareness, and responsible conduct at sea. As part of STCW Basic Safety Training, this course supports learners in developing the knowledge needed to work more safely, communicate effectively, and contribute to a professional onboard environment.
Designed for maritime personnel at all levels, especially those with safety or pollution prevention responsibilities, the course covers key principles required for safer day-to-day operations on board. Learners are introduced to emergency procedures, pollution prevention measures, safe working practices, effective communication, human relationships, and fatigue management in line with international maritime training standards.
With an approximate duration of 4 hours online, this course offers a flexible way to strengthen STCW knowledge while working toward recognised certification. On successful completion of the assessment, learners receive a certificate recognised by maritime authorities and aligned with STCW A-VI/1 and IMO model course 1.21.
For broader STCW and shipboard compliance study, ISG – Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (STCW) works especially well alongside Security Awareness (STCW) and ISG – Ballast Water Management for deeper support across onboard safety, compliance awareness, pollution prevention, and responsible conduct at sea.
