Proficiency in Designated Security Duties

The 1-day Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD) course has been designed for all seafarers and all security personnel engaged on vessels where that seafarer has a designated security duty and it is mandatory for armed security or an unarmed security team member to be part of a Maritime Security Team.

The course gives participants an in-depth understanding of the background of the international maritime security framework and its various security responsibilities and comprehensive information on the ship maritime security levels 1 to 3. The course incorporates the Proficiency in Security Awareness of the STCW Convention and Code and also includes Anti-Piracy Awareness Training.
