Established in 1973, East Anglian Sea School is a family-run RYA training centre based at Suffolk Yacht Harbour in Levington, near Ipswich. The school provides practical and theory training for beginners through to experienced sailors and boat owners.

Courses cover sailing, motor cruising, powerboating, personal watercraft and dinghy sailing, with progression through Competent Crew, Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper training to Yachtmaster preparation and examinations. Shorebased courses include navigation, marine radio, first aid, sea survival, diesel engine maintenance and radar, with selected subjects also available online. Training takes place on the school’s fleet and in its waterside classroom, with personalised tuition also available aboard students’ own vessels. The school offers instructor training, mile-building trips and sailing adventures, as well as yacht charter and corporate activities on the water.
